Devlog #1


Progress thus far:

  • UAGM will be my first game in 16:9 widescreen! I have been working in 4:3 since Game Maker 6.0 in the mid 2000s, but the overwhelming feedback from the internet is that it's time to modernize.
  • UAGM has a much more robust menu system than Skeleton Scramble! Under the hood, the "menu item" class constructor takes arguments for dynamic text, custom click functions, and state listeners. It will be much easier to quickly design and re-design menus.
  • UAGM uses sprite-based fonts. This will fix a lot of the stretching and pixelation issues that ran rampant in Skeleton Scramble. My current font is a slightly modified version of Sins Gold by SomePx.
